SOUTH WALTON FIRE DISTRICT BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

 FINAL BUDGET HEARING – MEETING MINUTES

September 23, 2008

 Commissioners Present:    Jack Abbit, Donna Crawford, Brian Christenson, Ed Wright, Mike Stange

Commissioners Absent:  Maurice Gilbert, Harry Millsaps

Call to Order:           5:01 p.m.

Resolution No. 08-04, adopting the final levying of ad valorem taxes for all taxable property within South Walton Fire District for FY 2008-2009 was read aloud by Vice-Chairman, Jack Abbit.

On a motion duly made and seconded at 5:04 p.m., the Board voted unanimously to accept Resolution No. 08-04.

Resolution No. 08-05, adopting the final budget for FY 2008-2009, was read aloud by Vice-Chairman, Jack Abbit.

On a motion duly made and seconded at 5:05 p.m., the Board voted unanimously to accept Resolution No. 08-05.

Public Comment:  

Bonnie McQuiston, local resident and President of the Walton County Taxpayer’s Association directed several questions to the Board.

On a motion duly made and seconded, the Board unanimously voted to adjourn the meeting at 5:19 p.m.
