Call to Order: 4:00 p.m.
Special Item: Presentation to the Board of SWFD Fire Commissioners of signed print by Michael Granberry-2010 Artist of the Year
On a motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously voted to approve the minutes of the November 2, 2009 Board meeting.
Secretary/Treasurer Report: Harry Millsaps
Attorney’s Report: Lori Bytell, Attorney
On a motion duly made and seconded, the Board unanimously voted to approve Attorney Bytell’s monthly billing statement.
Chief’s Report:
Beach Safety/Lifeguard Services RFP has been submitted to Walton County Purchasing Department regarding the TDC contract.
SWFD personnel have been provided with H1N1 vaccinations by request.
Awards Ceremony/Holiday Party will take place on December 12, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at Seascape Resort.
The SWFD Angel Tree, hosted by the Fire District and coordinated by Diane Brown, Executive Assistant, assisted Caring and Sharing in fulfilling the Christmas wishes of 231 Walton County children.
The audit firm has completed its preparations for the District’s annual audit.
The 2009-2012 Collective Bargaining Agreement was ratified on December 1, 2009.
Staff attended the County EOC’s Tropical Storm IDA after action meeting to discuss local coordination and communication.
SWFD has received notification that the official notification of the DEP permit for the 393 North Property Project has been approved. Assistant Chief Anderson will attend the Walton County Board of Commissioner’s meeting in regards to the Development Order approval.
Insurance Services Office (ISO) will be evaluating the District in early 2010.
The next Board meeting will be held on Monday, January 4, 2010.

Board Advisory – Double Red Flag Citations
At the November 2, 2009 Board meeting, staff was requested to research the number of citations issued for violation of the County ordinance regarding members of the public who enter the Gulf of Mexico under double red flag conditions.
Double Red Flag violations were provided to the Board for the period of January 1, 2009 through November 23, 2009.
Staff was requested to follow-up on the dollar amount of the citations written and also research if the fines were collected.
New Business:
Chairman Gilbert requested that staff research the total revenue collected for 2008 versus 2009 in regards to the Collections Profile.
