Commissioner McGee served on active duty and in the Army Reserve as a Military Police Officer, Military Intelligence Officer and a JAG Officer. Commissioner McGee opened a private law practice and became First Assistant District Attorney in Jefferson Parrish, Louisiana where he served for 24 years. Commissioner McGee has served on the Walton County Planning Commission, TDC Beach Safety Committee, TDC Beach Activites Committee, South Walton Community Council, and Cultural Arts Alliance. Commissioner McGee is the co-founder and President of The Camel Club, Inc. and a member of the Advisory Board of the Children's Advocacy Center of Walton County.
My Dad was a firefighter all his working life and I have a lot of respect for the men and women who have chosen this profession. As our permanent population grows and visitors continue to come in record numbers, we must continue to attract the best firefighters, EMT's, and Paramedics. We must also expand our Beach Safety program.
