Thanks for your interest in the South Walton Fire District Junior Lifeguard Program!
Honoring our commitment to a safer beach environment in our community, the SWFD Beach Safety Division offers the Junior Lifeguard Program every summer for kids between the ages 9 -16. This annual program provides a fun, dynamic setting where students learn important safety skills to prevent injury and the loss of life in marine environments.
Registration for the 2026 Program will be open on April 10th at 12:00pm. Swim tests will be conducted at Ed Walline Regional Beach Access on May 9th, 16th, and 17th at 9:00am.

A note regarding each year's registration protocol: Applications are processed in the order in which they are received. Class and session sizes vary each year and are determined by an instructor-to-student ratio. We do our best to be accomodating and understanding to make sure everyone has a chance to be a part of the program, but should you have any questions, please email juniors@swfd.org.
